OUR STORY

Gurfein Woodwork Inc. was founded in 1978 when furniture maker, Gregory Gurfein, first opened for business inside an old varnishing plant in Long Island City, New York. Trained as a craftsman in classical methods of cabinetry, Gregory quickly made himself a valuable resource for interior designers and architects.

In 2002 Gurfein Woodwork moved its woodshop to Chelsea, Manhattan, making the business more accessible to clients who often stop by to discuss designs, check up on production or make last minute adjustments.

Gurfein Woodwork is proud to be a premier furniture and cabinet maker building elaborate and complicated designs for the best Architects and Designers of today.
